[1.2.5] The Next Generation of Ports
« on: August 04, 2012, 06:12:16 PM »
As you know, 1.3 has been released and I'm trying to get in on the action once again. Here's what I've done so far:

Explosives Plus v3.3 for 1.2.5

You'll need Forge for the client as well as for the server. Keep in mind that this is a rough port and crashes/bugs may riddle your gameplay. If you could email me at jsncoding@gmail.com or PM me with bugs or errors you've encountered, I could take a look at them. In future builds these problems should go away, but for now this is it. I'll also be upgrading to v3.4 of Ex+ soon. You should be able to just place the jars in your mods folder for installation. Make sure you have the sound files on the client. We are base-class free!

Download build 2 server (vanilla only): http://adf.ly/BPZpC
-- Lots of RAM recommended, I'll add Bukkit support when stability and safety has increased
Build 2 client available here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/830138-

Known Bugs:
AC130 does not work
Genesis bomb does not work/crashes
Mind control and explosive vests are buggy
You must relog to see damage from the BiomeBuster
Varios sounds and particles don't work yet
Email me at jsncoding@gmail.com or PM me to report bugs not listed here

WiduX has taken over Pam's Mods, http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1318130- . I don't know how good he is, but the mods look playable. Keep an eye on him for me.

Mods in Queue

Working on:
SandwichCraft - 20% - Step 3

Here's the basic outline I try to follow when porting mods:

  • Get permission from author
  • Decompile mod (Skipped if the author was kind enough to give me the source)
  • Set up the mod in a client workspace, then prep it for the server
  • Copy all necessary files to a server workspace
  • Fix server problems
  • Add packets when needed
  • Server testing
  • Repeat steps 5-7 until the mod is ready
  • Compiling and distribution
  • Port server version to Bukkit

For the fastest response, email me at jsncoding@gmail.com or PM me with suggestions. Make sure you include a link to the mod's topic, that the mod is up to date with Minecraft, and it is not on this list.

hey man.. missed you on the 1.2.5 pams ports :(

Harvestcraft has been a bit frustrating without a good port/update

Nice to see you again. Sadly, I've lost Pam's mods to another porter, but the link to his topic is above.

i know it has been ported by widux, i have had several conversations with him and pam back and forth. although it seems to have too many issues with it to use it, i had to remove it again a day or so after it was added due to some internal conflicts with it and some upset players because of it :(
