My server and clients are using 3.3.8 and the problem is occurring. Also it seems like the melee weapons like the katana works fine when your not wearing ninja clothes.
I think this problem may be caused by Player API. I have a custom player renderer to make yourself invisible, and Player API edits that part too. Try not installing SmartMoving.
I was thinking of making Player API a dependency, and I'll definitely use it if the problem is there.
Katana should be usable even if you don't wear ninja clothes, but the mjolnir's right click shouldn't work unless you are in creative.

Hmm I find it really OP for the katana to be used by anyone wearing anything seeing how its a insta kill. Should only work while wearing ninja clothes so then you have a downside of not having any armor protection.

Yeah I guess it could be player API, my server will just have to deal with not being invs for now.

I use smartmoving with render player api, too. how about re-install optifine(if you've installed it)

he is using them too, and got no problem.  Maybe it's like lower version of Player API will get this problem or so...?

Using 162 build of MCPC, Works great!! Thanks for the port.
about a mod - it's not so balanced as wished to be
about a port - i didnt found ANY horse, so manualy spawned them by the Horse Eggs :D

Finally I figured it out!
Your client needs Render Player API installed, not just Player API.
