ok here is a small update .. i can already confirm a new feature. server news will now be html based instead of xml ... i'm still working on a bug that i encounter that makes the updater appear to hang and not update ... not sure what the problem is. i need to rewrite the code to trace the problem since its happening on an external .dll file .. i also update the UI a bit .. here is a teaser =P

im have added a updater to push out fixes to the mmu direct to the client in the new version in case i need to push out critical fixes on the new version. the new versio will be totaly rewriten ( again ) to make it easy for future updates and so on ... =)

edit : new thing i just manage to fix in the testing setup i have .. there is no need for the bat file anymore .. the program can now set the appdata folder for minecraft .. this way you can have the minecraft exe seperatet and i could even ad profiles for different servers. this way i also confident to build in usage for custom minecraft launcher =D weee

I'm looking forward to it.

I'm planning to use this for future versions on my server ... maybe I'll use the old version until this comes out.

Edit: For some reason I can't start MC Mod Upater .exe ... I got .net framework ... don't know what's the problem.

I can start it but it isn't really functional. I can give you a full "nonfunction" report if you want.

well it should work and do what the other version did i think .. since its still based on the mmu2 version... so it should work .. maybe a bit unstable but thats all .. but you need a host that host the server side if you wonder =)

Ok I'll try it ... I run my Minecraft Server(s) on a v-server so hosting isn't problematic ... But it still seems there are some bugs. I'll try it out and send you bugreports if I encounter some.

well the version i gave you is an debug version for testing ... tho you need the all the files in that package ... im working now with the new mmu version that automaticly will write an error log if you want it to. that way i can trace future errors mutch better =)

ok .. her is an updatet pictur of the mmu 3 basic settings window

it has a few more settings .. those are needet to get the new funktion working so that this updater can be used with diferent minecraft launchers.

including to that im currently working on the package stuff. i try to keep thinks as simple as i can .. here is a small preview on how the new package config on the server side will look and on the client. its far frome done since its both misses file info and location for the download ... but im thing you get the idea
